Application Process

Phase I – Project Proposals

January 1 – August 15

We invite non-profits to email marksburyfoundation@gmail.com with a one to two page project proposal. Please include:

  1. A 3-5 sentence project summary.
  2. Project timeline.
  3. Overall budget and budget line items.
  4. How the project will be financially self-sustainable.
  5. How the long-term impacts of the project will be measured.

Once received, the proposal will be reviewed to determine if it is a fit for the foundation. If deemed a fit, a formal application will be emailed to be completed by the non-profit.

You can expect to hear from the foundation 2-4 weeks after the proposal sent.

Please Note:

  1. Review our Current RFP page before submitting a proposal to make sure all requirements are met. Projects that do not meet all requirements will not be considered.
  2. Proposals that are submitted after August 15 will be rolled over to the next application cycle and will not be reviewed until the beginning of the following year.

Phase II – Official Application Review

Non-profits will be notified of final decisions, typically around the beginning of December and no later than the end of the year.

Non-profits that are awarded grants will receive funding in December.
